The Albuquerque Cristo Rey High School Feasibility Study

The Albuquerque Cristo Rey High School Feasibility Study
In 1996, the Chicago Province of the Society of Jesus opened a high school on the south side of Chicago exclusively serving low income students. An innovative work-study component was incorporated within the school’s curriculum providing the means for students to finance a large portion of their tuition.  Little
did the Jesuits know their model would be replicated over twenty times around the country.  Now a feasibility study will determine whether a Cristo Rey Network School will be created to serve economically challenged students in the Albuquerque area.
